A life of service

My special tribute to one of Africa’s finest sons a true internationalist, a global visionary, an inspirational and role model for many across the globe. Kofi Annan the first and only black African to have head the United nations.

Under his tenure as Secretary General of the united nations it was the first time the world agreed to have a common shared vision known as the Millennium Development Goals “MDGs”. His leadership was determined to promote peace and betterment of the world.

Kofi Annan played a key role in bringing peace in Kenya after a highly disputed election in 2007 which turned violent. Annans mediation played an important role in calming down tension and bringing peace and stability across East Africa.

Thank you Kofi i Annan for being of service and dedicating your life to promoting peace and pushing for the betterment of the world. May the UN thrive in achieving sustainable development goals in honour of your years of service.

Rest in peace kofi Annan.
